Michael W. Dyer, RCDD, ECSE

CEO/ Principal

Michael’s journey is marked by his relentless drive and innovative spirit in mechanics, technology, and infrastructure. His leadership and ingenuity have propelled him to new heights, culminating in the founding of Office Automation Group, Inc. in 2001, which serves Technology Infrastructure needs across the United States. His acquisition of Cornerstone Technologies is now showcasing unwavering commitment to excellence in service.

From a young age, Michael has been a proactive leader. At 14, he started digging ditches to help pay his parents’ mortgage, and by 15, he had launched a lawn mower repair business. His dedication continued as he played a role in the United States Marine Corps, by being one of the first 720 troops on the ground in Saudi Arabia and participating in Task Force Ripper which liberated Kuwait City during the Gulf War. Michael has always led from the front, unafraid to go the extra mile to accomplish the mission.

After nine years of service in the Marines and a medical separation, Michael earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management with a Minor in Computer Science from North Carolina State University. His career has been characterized by leadership roles, from managing small landscaping crews to leading Marines in combat, corporate departments, and now two successful companies.

Michael holds advanced technical certifications in Information and Communications Technology as a Registered Communications Distribution Designer and Wi-Fi Systems Engineering, underscoring his expertise and commitment to excellence in his field.

Michael married his Gulf War pen pal and now wife in 1992 and together they have 2 daughters and 2 sons.

Skip McCormick

CTO/ Principal

After serving as a member of Cornerstone Technologies’ Board of Directors for a long while, Skip McCormick accepted the full-time role as Chief Technology Officer and Artificial Intelligence Practice Lead, pioneering efforts to service the many advanced and complex needs of our clients.

After a fascinating career that began at the U.S. Naval Academy, serving as a Surface Warfare Officer and shifting to systems engineering and consulting, Skip developed a client list that included the NSA (National Security Agency). When the tragic events of 9/11 occurred, Skip’s sense of service and pride in his nation compelled him to accept his invitation to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) where he served for 17 years as an Intelligence Officer developing data science and supercomputers to fight terrorism. More recently, Skip joins us full-time after over five years as a Managing Director at the Bank of New York, where he innovated the firm’s AI practice and led AI Risk Governance for BNY’s new Artificial Intelligence HUB.

Frank Velasquez

CRO/ Founder/ Principal

Frank has finally returned to the company he started in 2007, back as Founder and Principal once again. After over 30 years of successive sales leadership at companies such as Veritas, Symantec, VMWare, and AWS, Frank is a connector of people, helping companies form their desired result before working to achieve a common good as he’s done time and time again.

But far more than a long list of accolades and achievements is how Frank has managed to deliver results and develop his network over decades; his track record of pairing a tireless work ethic with an inability to compromise his principles has always and will continue to speak for itself. Simply, he ensures his company acts as diligently on doing the right thing as it does on delivering results.

Jon Bollum

COO/ Principal

Jon has always been driven by his curiosity, his lifelong love of learning, and his interest in helping people. These traits have led Jon to be a seasoned professional with extensive experience in technology, operations and building custom systems. He leads by example and loves brainstorming with customers and colleagues alike.

In college, he focused on printing and business, thriving on learning about the burgeoning computer industry and the beginnings of desktop publishing. He has a tireless work ethic and loyalty that has seen him start as employee number 7 at a local printing company as an operator to staying 27 years and leaving as VP of Operations and Technology. Jon designed and led technology and operational solutions, managed facility operations, and developed processes that helped evolve the company into a national digital printing company. At the heart of it all was his interest in helping customers achieve their goals.

Jim Plutchak

VP of Finance

Jim’s distinguished career is marked by a steadfast dedication to service and excellence. A proud veteran, Jim served in the Army, where he honed his leadership and strategic skills. After his military service, he attained a bachelor’s degree in accounting, where he put his aptitude for numbers and analytical thinking to use.

With his education complete, Jim took the helm of his family business, steering it with a steady hand and an eye for stability. In 2007, Jim embarked on a new journey with Cornerstone Technologies, where he has since established a long and stable tenure, securing the operational finances. His unwavering commitment and versatile expertise have been instrumental in Cornerstone’s growth and success. Jim’s journey from the Army to the corporate world exemplifies his adaptability and drive, making him a valued member of the Cornerstone team and a respected figure in the industry.
